Hospice Auction
Through March 11 online and in person March 12, 2016 | Middlebury, Vermont
I donated a special piece from my New Year's day kiln fire to help support area hospice services. It takes a truly special team of professionals to provide hospice care, and the support of the entire community to ensure this care continues in the future. Please visit the Hospice Services auction at Bidding for Good - and maybe bid on my piece for your collection. Here's the link: https://www.biddingforgood.com/auction/item/item.action?id=255424905

SafeArt Scarves April 6, 2013 | Vermont Law School
The challenge was to create a ceramic piece representing a scarf. Reminiscent of a hug, a scarf wraps you in warmth and shelter, hence the concept of SafeArt Scarves.
I joined SafeArt and 75 artists from around the country including Ed Koran, Madeleine Kunin, author Sarah Strohmeyer and Governor Peter Shumlin for an art show and auction featuring our interpretation of a scarf. Proceeds from the event will help individuals utilize art to heal from abuse and other traumas.
Founded in 2000 by Tracy Penfield, SafeArt is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that uses the expressive arts to address issues of bullying, dating violence, domestic abuse, and sexual assault. The program aims to create confidence in making positive relationship choices.
